Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Instructions for authors

Thank you for submitting your paper to Innovative Journal of Business and Economics Strategy (IJBES). These guidelines will guarantee that we have everything needed so that your paper may proceed easily through peer review, production, and publishing. Please read and follow to them as precisely as possible, as doing so will guarantee that your manuscript meets the journal's requirements.

Peer Review and Ethics

Innovative Journal of Business and Economics Strategy (IJBES), is dedicated to honest peer review and upholding the best standards of review. After the editor looks over your paper to make sure it's appropriate, it will be reviewed by one or more independent, anonymous experts. Sharing an older version of your Author's Original Manuscript on a preprint server means you may not be anonymous anymore.

Preparing Your Paper

Please Submit two files in word format.

The Main Text File does not contain any information about the authors which will diminish their anonymity.

Structure

Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; Data Availability Statement; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).

Word Limits

Please include a word count for your paper.

A typical paper for this journal should be no more than 10000 words, inclusive of the abstract, tables, references, figure captions.

Article Types

Research Article

A research article presents and discusses findings from a piece of original research. Your original Research Article should include Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion sections.

Review Article

A review article evaluates and analyses the current state of knowledge in a specific domain that is pertinent to the field of IJBES. The primary emphasis of a review article should not be the author's original research.

Method

  • Should be written with the following elements in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; author contributions statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).
  • The abstract structure should be as follows: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion.
  • Should contain between 4 and 6 keywords.
  • Should be at between 6000 and 10000 words in length.
  • Font should be Times New Roman with 12 Font size.
  • Headings should be brief and clearly indicate the desired hierarchy.
  • The recommended format is using bold for main headings and medium italics for successive sub-headings.

Format-Free Submission

Authors may submit their paper in any scholarly format or layout. Manuscripts may be supplied as single or multiple files. These can be Word, rich text format (rtf), open document format (odt), or PDF files. Figures and tables can be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents. Figures should be of sufficient resolution to enable refereeing.

  • There are no strict formatting requirements, but all manuscripts must contain the essential elements needed to evaluate a manuscript: abstract, author affiliation, figures, tables, funder information, and references. Further details may be requested upon acceptance.
  • References should be in APA style or format. Author name(s), journal or book title, article or chapter title, year of publication, volume and issue (where appropriate) and page numbers are essential. All bibliographic entries must contain a corresponding in-text citation. The addition of DOI (Digital Object Identifier) numbers is recommended but not essential.
  • The journal reference style will be applied to the paper post-acceptance by Innovative Journal of Business and Economics Strategy (IJBES).
  • Spelling can be US or UK English so long as usage is consistent.

Note that, regardless of the file format of the original submission, an editable version of the article must be supplied at the revision stage.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Innovative Journal of Business and Economics Strategy (IJBES) does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) or Submission Fee to authors at any stage of paper publication.
